TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

Cho Oyo is the world‘s sixth highest mountain and considered by many as the easiest of the fourteen 8000m. Peaks this is mainly due to the ease of access which is achieved utilising vehicles to the base of the mountain and a two day trek in hiking boots to the base camp at 5600m. The climbing route has only a few short technical sections yet is direct, allowing climbers to gain altitude without covering a lot of distance.

As with all ascents at high altitude the climbing is strenuous and requires a high standard of fitness but as a peak experience the thin air at 8000m for the first time, Cho oyu is ideal. A small team of Sherpa’s will accompany the expedition to provide the carrying power and to ensure the high camps are well stocked the summit on nine of these trips!
