High himalayan Chulu west expedition already back to KTM, on 15th Of Dec. 2008 they summited the west peak summit on 4th of Dec. 2008...!

This team has two Norwegian clients and one Nepali Guide. High Himal would like to congratulate and well done to all of them!!!

High himalayan Chulu west expedtion team departured on 22nd Nov. 2008 from Kathmandu. This expedtion is leading by our Guide Densa Bhote. Team will trek from Bhesi Shar, Manang and they will climb the peak. Team will also go for Ananapurna round trek.

High himalayan

High Himal team came back from Island Peak Expedition, Team has successfully climbed Island Peak on 15th Oct, 2008. This expedition lead by Guide Mr. Jyamchang Bhote with two clients.

Clients name are as follows: - 1. Elin Roemo Grande (Norway) 2. Jo Egil Tobiassen (Norway)

The route was main Everest gate, Gokyo Valley, Gokyo Ri, Over Chola Pass, Kala Pathar, Everest BC, Over khongma La Pass, Chokung and Island Peak etc.. These team came back to Kathmandu on 19th Oct. 2008. Trip was greatly enjoyable.

From September 2008 we are going to organize Climbing, trekking and Expedition in Nepal. Our first team will start on 30 September 2008, to Island Peak, Nepal.

Mr. Jyamchang Bhote will guide this trip. He has just came back to Kathmandu from Norway. In Norway he has successfully finished Glacier Hiking, Sumitted the Norwegian mountain in this summer 2008.

Mr. Jyamchang Bhote has successfully completed Aspirant Guide Course at Langtang from 5th Jan. to 23rd Jan. 2008. Main goal was great success with clients taking and guiding on the mountain. There was 11 Aspirant Guide, 5 Nepali Instructor,
1 French IFMGA Guide, 1 Doctor and 6 Clients.

Aspirant Guide Course was conducted by NNMGA (Nepal National Mountain Guide Association). Well done for all the Team.

Ice Climbing
Mr. Jyamchang Bhote has back from Winter Water fall Ice Climbing from Khumbu. It is longest water fall ice climbing in the world that we knew. 18 pitch 50m per pitch 900m vertical water fall ice climbing at next to Namche Bazar. Difficulty grade was approximately VI. Kwangde water fall ice climbing sport, there were three person on the team. They had great success. And Alpine climbing started from Namche to Namche it took 24 hours. Kathmandu to Kathmandu 3rd Feb to 7th Feb. 2008.

On November 1st we have done trekking with Mr. Drran Chapple from Lukla to Gokyo Valley/over Chola Pass, Kala Pathar and to Everest Base camp. He was really excited on his first visit to Nepal.

Mt. Everest Summited by Mr. Jyamchang Bhote on 24th May 2007 with Columbia Everest expedition. The making first Columbia Female top of the world.

NMIA Team Traces Two Bodies From Paldor

A strong team of Nepal Mountain Instructor’s Association (NMIA) and Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA) has traced the bodies of two French Mountaineers from the slopes of Ganesh Himal (Paldor). Four French mountaineers went missing when an expedition to Ganesh Himal (Paldor) was hit by an avalance on October 2006.

The search operation found 2 bodies near the Sanjung Glacier (4900m) at the feet of Ganesh Himal. Similarly, some parts of the body were found on the surface of the big avalanche debris. They probably feel down 1,000m from the slopes of Ganesh Himal to the Sanjung Glacier,’ a press release issued by NMIA reads.

Upon the request of the family members, the recovered bodies and parts were cremated under a chhorten with a plate bearing the name of the deceased. The four mountaineers have been identified as Jean-Baptiste Moreau (31), Raphael Perrissin (31), Vincent Villedieu (33) and Stefan Cieslar (37).

NMIA had launched the search operation as per the request of the family members of the missing mountaineers. An eight member search team led by Lakpa Norbu Sherpa had searched the area from 23rd of June to 10th of July. Other members of the search expedition were: Lakpa Sherpa, Jyamchang Bhote, Lambabu Sherpa, Dorjee Lama, Pemba Gyalze Sherpa and Keshav Gurung. Jean Coudray, veteran French Guide and mountaineering instructor, was the search operation leader of the expedition.

Basic Mountaineering Training Courses

Mr. Jyamchang Bhote has completed successfully (BMT) Basic Mountaineering Training Courses held from 15 August 2007 to 21 Sep. 2007 at Kathmandu and Langtang conducted by NMA. In this training there are 8 Nepali instructor/guide including Mr. Jyamchang Bhote and 3 Solvinea Instructor with doctor. In this training 32 Nepali and 5 foreign participant has completed this course.

High Himal Director Mr. Jyamchang Bhote has successfully sumitted east summit of (7015m) Mt. Baruntse. And all team came back safely all the way to Kathmandu.
